On 28 September 2023, the famous Sycamore Gap Tree was felled as "an act of vandalism". During the first week of October, I accompanied my husband, who walked the Hadrian's Wall Path, and I took photographs of one or more other beautiful sycamore trees along the path. This series Beauty is the Antidote to Grief is the result.
